Why coordinates matter
An address may not exist in rural areas, large properties, construction sites or outdoor locations. Coordinates provide a precise reference that can be copied into a mapping app later.
Use embedded location when available
If the photo already contains GPS metadata, Photo Locale can use that saved position. For new photos, it can use your current location when you capture the image.
Keep the stamp readable
Place the coordinate box over a visually simple part of the image, keep enough contrast around the text, and avoid covering the subject you are documenting.
Decide what else belongs on the image
Coordinates can be paired with an address, date or time, but adding too much information can make a field photo harder to read. Photo Locale lets you choose the fields you actually need.
Visible coordinates can reveal sensitive locations. Review the stamp before posting images publicly.
